§ 1 Information on the collection of personal data

(1) Below we inform about the collection of personal data when using our website. Personal data are all data that can be personally related to you, e.g., name, address, email addresses, user behavior.

(2) Responsible according to Art. 4 para. 7 EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for the processing of personal data on this website is

(3) When you contact us by email or via our contact form, the data you provide (your email address, if applicable your name and phone number) will be stored by us to answer your questions. The storage is in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR and serves for contractual or pre-contractual communication. The related data will be deleted within three months if no contractual relationship should come about. After the establishment of a contractual relationship, data will be deleted after the end of the contract unless their deletion is prevented by legal storage obligations, e.g., § 147 AO.

§ 2 Your rights

(1) You have the following rights concerning your personal data:

(2) You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority, e.g., the State Data Protection Officer of NRW, about our processing of your personal data.

§ 3 Collection of personal data when visiting our website

(1) In the case of merely informational use of the website, i.e., if you do not register or otherwise transmit information to us, we collect only the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data, which are technically necessary for us to display our website and to ensure its stability and security (the legal basis is a balancing of interests according to Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR):
- IP address
- Date and time of the request
- Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
- Content of the request (specific page)
- Access status/HTTP status code
- Amount of data transferred
- Website from which the request comes
- Browser
- Operating system and its interface
- Language and version of the browser software.

(2) In addition to the data mentioned above, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive assigned to the browser you are using and through which certain information flows to the party that sets the cookie (here by us). Cookies cannot run programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They serve to make the Internet offer more user-friendly and effective overall.

(3) Use of cookies:

a) This website uses the following types of cookies, the scope and function of which are explained below:
- Transient cookies (see b)
- Persistent cookies (see c).

b) Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. This includes especially the session cookies. These store a so-called session ID, with which various requests from your browser can be assigned to the common session. This allows your computer to be recognized when you return to our website. The session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.

c) Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified duration, which can vary depending on the cookie. You can delete the cookies at any time in the security settings of your browser.

d) You can configure your browser setting according to your wishes and, for example, refuse the acceptance of third-party cookies or all cookies. We would like to point out that you may not be able to use all functions of this website.

§ 4 Collection of data when registering for events

(1) Purposes and legal bases of processing

Your data is processed to organize and carry out the respective event.

As our event participant, it is possible that we use your data to send you information about events of interest to you based on your registration for the event. The legal basis for sending this information is the balancing and safeguarding of our overriding legitimate interests Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR in conjunction with § 7 UWG. You can object to the use of your data at any time free of charge.

(2) Duration of storage of personal data

The personal data of the data subject will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage ceases to apply. Storage may also take place if this has been provided for by the European or national legislator in EU regulations, laws, or other provisions to which the controller is subject. The data will also be blocked or deleted when a storage period prescribed by the mentioned standards expires.

(3) Photo recordings

During the event, photo recordings will be made by the staff of mybreev GmbH. The resulting photo recordings will be used for documentation and post-event reporting, as well as promotion of subsequent events (for example, on the homepage, the learning cinema page, in print media, and on social networks). If you do not agree with a photo recording, we ask for a corresponding notification to the photographer. Detailed data protection information can be found on site.

§ 5 Objection or revocation against the processing of your data

(1) If you have given consent to the processing of your data, you can revoke it at any time. Such revocation affects the future processing after the revocation is declared.

(2) If we base the processing of your personal data on the legal foundation Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR (balancing of interests), you can object to the processing. This is the case if the processing is not necessary for the fulfillment of a contract with you, which will be presented by us in the description of the functions below. In the event of such an objection, we ask for an explanation of the reasons why we should not process your personal data as we have done. In the case of your justified objection, we will examine the situation and will either discontinue or adjust the data processing or demonstrate our compelling legitimate grounds for continuing the processing.

§ 6 Integration of YouTube videos

(1) We have integrated YouTube videos into our online offer, which are stored on http://www.YouTube.com and can be played directly from our website. These are all embedded in the "enhanced privacy mode", which means that no data about you as a user is transferred to YouTube if you do not play the videos. Only when you play the videos, the data mentioned in paragraph 2 are transmitted. We have no control over this data transfer.

(2) By visiting the website, YouTube receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding sub-page of our website. In addition, the data mentioned in § 3 of this declaration are transmitted. This occurs regardless of whether YouTube provides a user account through which you are logged in, or if there is no user account. If you are logged into Google, your data will be directly associated with your account. If you do not wish the assignment with your profile at YouTube, you must log out before activating the button. YouTube stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for purposes of advertising, market research and/or demand-oriented design of its website. Such evaluation takes place in particular (even for users who are not logged in) to provide demand-oriented advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, and you must address YouTube to exercise it.

Google processes your personal data also in the USA and has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

§ 7 Use of Matomo (formerly Piwik)

(1) This website uses the web analytics service Matomo (formerly Piwik) to analyze and regularly improve the use of our website. Through the statistics obtained, we can improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user. The legal basis for the use of Matomo is Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR (balancing of interests). It is in our overriding interest to be able to improve our offers for our customers. As the operator of this website, we have a legitimate interest in the anonymized analysis of user behavior to optimize both our web offer and possibly also advertising.

(2) The information collected by the controller is stored exclusively on his server in Germany. Preventing the use of Matomo is possible by unchecking the following checkbox and thus activating the opt-out plugin:

(3) This website uses Matomo with the extension "AnonymizeIP". As a result, IP addresses are processed in a shortened form, direct personal reference can thus be excluded. The IP address provided by Matomo from your browser is not merged with other data collected by us.
